I'm planning on replacing the mechanical steering with hydraulic on my '81 center console V-20. Any idea what length hoses I'll need? I know I can pull out the existing steering cable and measure it, but I'm using the boat a lot and I want to limit my down time if I have to order the right hoses. Also, if anyone has any advise about installing the Sea Star 1.7 system, please give!
Thank you,
Brad

look at cable about a foot or two from transom end, there should be a part # on it. last 2 numbers are length. Usually in inches. Round up a foot or two if your not sure, you can always put a loop in it if your too long.

Edit: Usually in feet not inches.
