While I don't normally agree with everything that Dick Morris says, he does, at times, seem to hit the nail right on the head. His commentaries about global warming clearly fit in that category. Facts and figures go a long way towards proving a point. You can see it here.

Problem is most of the sheep go for it.

I kind of approach global warming like I do God and religion. Not convinced it exists but not a bad idea to toe the line just in case.

Too hot? Global warming.
Too cold? Climate change.
Polar ice receding? Global warming.
Polar ice expanding? Climate change.
Heavy rain? Flood? Global warming/climate change.
Drought? Global warming/climate change.
Wildfire? Global warming/climate change.
Tornado? Global warming/climate change.
Hurricane? Global warming/climate change.
When you next encounter a true believer, ask them what weather phenomenon they can't attribute to global warming, er, climate change. Then sit back, sip your drink and enjoy the show.

I'm no climate warmer or global changer but the water level in my area (Chesapeake Bay Area) has risen noticeably in the last 30 some odd years.
Someone told me there are more large ships sailing the oceans which adds weight causing the water to rise. Doesn't matter. The water is still rising. Might as well get some political traction by claiming your own reasons. This uneducated redneck just sees the water rising and wonders.

my parents have a place in NC that sits on a canal, linked to a bay, that is intersected by the Intracoastal water way, that's right around the corner from a major inlet. I have pictures of our sea wall from back in the 70's and pictures as recent as last fall, you can see the vegetation line across the sea wall, still in the same place it was 40 years ago. We were told back in the 70's if the earth warmed one degree, New York City would be under water, we can only hope so.

I know, it's silly really.
knowing what I know by studying statistics heavily in college, the data the the scientist are touting as evidence that man is altering the course of the climate does not convince me either way.
The data points fluctuate so much and to such extremes that it makes it very hard to accurately predict a trend.

that should have said reclassified CO2. It had nothing to do with climate change, it was all about making sure hydrogen fuel cell vehicles would not be compliant and the current administration got the green light to push ethanol fuel and piss money away on failed solar companies.

All we need to know is that they NEVER predict what will happen NEXT year! Their doom predictions are always far into the future, when every climate prediction fades into thousands of factors that make it unpredictable.
And the past predictions have proven this. They were predicting massive ice melts, etc. 40 years ago. They predicted several FEET in ocean raising. Less than a fraction of an inch actually occurred. Temperatures predicted to rise by several degrees didn't rise at all!
So we would be FOOLS to act on the strength of shaky climate models, simply computer-generated projections. Other nations are not fooled by this crap, why should America lead?
