That's one nice looking boat. Love the hardtop.
What model Garmin MFD are you using with the radar?
I really like the radar overlay on the map.

Very nice set up. Your top has great lines and really makes the V look like a machine.

Thanks for all the nice comments. Its my wife's boat ,I have been working on it for a couple years . That's a Garmin 740s, GMR 41 Radar with Airmar TM 260 Transducer. That transducer is amazing,it will show individual targets in 10ft of water.

I really like the 740s like you said fast and easy to use. Hopefully I will finish up wiring on the radar. Get the riggers on and get ready to start killing the following weekend. I will post some pics on Monday of the riggers and a screen shot of the radar.

Ok sorry for the delay of pics, but after being the winner of THE DUMD *** AWARD I just finished the wiring last night.

Just an FYI when splicing cat5 cable DO NOT STRIP THE ENDS OF THE WIRE. I have never messed with it, so like any other wiring project ,strip the wire, install the wire nut etc., in this case, slide the end on ,crimp ,plug in, then the radar works.

Oh hell no. Spent all day trying to find the problem, on the phone with tech support, was getting ready to start replacing all the wiring. My wife was looking at a cat5 cable in the office and said this wire was not stripped. Man a light bulb went off and hour later. When I stripped the ends of the wire the were frayed, when the plug was installed all of the ends were touching one another and caused it not to work.

Thought you would enjoy the story. I will clean up the mess and get the riggers on this week and will post some pics.:you::you:

They even make special RJ45 ends now that you just insert the wires straight thru them and out the front side..This way you can check and make sure your wires are in the correct order, whether you're wiring a 568A, B or crossover cord. Once you've checked your order, and you've crimped the connector, all you do is snip the wires coming out and you're done. No more straining your eyes trying to see the color codes through the connector.
And yes, that's a great story.

Thanks for all the great comments she has been a lot of work, but well worth it. Definitely need a pair of the pliers destroyer described, before ever doing a job with cat5 cable.

I cant wait for this weekend, my wife booked a trip with the man on the James river for those giant catfish. We have a real good chance to get into to that 60lb range. If the fish gods shine on us I will post some pics.

The nights are starting to cool off ,so hopefully the rockfish will start to make a showing. I'm ready to fish .
