Well gents I have finally come to the conclusion my health will not permit me to rebuild my V-20, and I need it gone ASAP(have some other things going on and need the room). If it doesn't go soon, I will have to finish tearing the tank and helm out and pay to dump it. the bow slider is still there, windshield, fuel tank didn't leak last time I used it(about 5 years ago), but overall I have stripped it down. Have a title for it, just need to cut my losses and get it gone. Would like to keep it in the V-20 family. it IS a project boat as most of the deck is soft, and a good portion of the transom has delaminated internally. http://tampa.craigslist.org/psc/boa/4101494378.html

I went out and pulled the old sea-drive off of it today, and now I'm laid up on SOMA and PERCOCET and it's not even taking the edge off. I have to clean house for a few reasons, and this needs to go. Hopefully a member here will take it for parts, or to rebuild her since factory full transoms are sought after by most.

I bet if you take a trip to the car wash w it you could advertise for $500 and get at least $350

I've got a pressure washer, but my hip is to the point I'm lucky to walk the dogs 3 times a day. So getting out and spraying her off is out of the question.

Just left with her new owner. Unfortunately I don't think he will be reviving her. And he will be lucky if the trailer makes it the 40 miles home for him. It was in ROUGH shape, but that's his problem now. I have one more boat to haul off(it's so bad I couldn't even give it away without worry of it getting dumped somewhere and coming back on me), and then I'm almost boatless. Hopefully after I get my hip fixed I can work again. I want a McKee Craft for my next boat.

What brand was the other boat Ferm? Just curious. What type of McKee are you thinking about? I seem to run across them all the time old to newer.

I got rid of the V-20 and an old WINNER fish and ski I had. Would like to someday find a 17 1/2 foot McKee center console, but that time will be a long ways down the road with the way things are going right now.

Dam dude, In the past year I GAVE one away and sold another for $100 sitting on an aluminum trailer. Both were center consoles and were projects, but the one I sold for $100 some high school kids fixed up and I saw anchored up off Wassaw Island a few weeks ago. Was definently something you could have tackled.

Heres one like I want. http://panamacity.craigslist.org/boa/4061487924.html Just no money to afford it right now. I've heard they aren't the best riding hull out there, but for a 17 footer that can go nearshore and up on the flats I think it would be fine. My days of going offshore are most likely over with due to my hip and other problems, but I sure do miss going out on the flats and trolling nearshore for mackerel.

Ferm if yer talkin' about one of the older McKee 17'ers...I had a 17' Southport Dual Console...built like a ROCK, but would BEAT the ever livin' CRAP outta you in the slightest chop...mine was an '88 or so...very stable at rest, but not worth the beating you take to get there...:bat::bat::bat:...I was actually GLAD to see that boat go out the driveway...:happy::happy:
