I use an old type oil squirt can, pull the fill plug, have some one run the trim up and start filling the reservoir while the pump is running, when it gets all the way to the top, add more oil till it starts coming back out of the reservoir, put the plug back in, cycle the trim up and down several times, then let it sit for a while, come back, raise the trim up and check the fluid level with it all the way trimmed up, add more fluid if needed.
