I was shopping for a re-power for my V-20, but stumbled on a turn-key rig. So sadly :-/ my Steplift is for sale after not nearly enough time to get to know each other.

1987 V-20 Steplift
* naked bottom and clean inside, always trailered and very little saltwater use over its lifetime
* solid hull and transom
* some soft spots on the floor that need to be addressed within a few years - no reason not to use the boat
* keel was scuffed and patched by previous owner - I was going to just put a keel-shield/keel-guard and call it done
* previous owner re-did a lot of the teak and made custom rod boxes
* New/replaced-by-me: Richie compass, switch panel, running lights, bilge pump and hose, Navman fuel flow meter, 2nd battery bank, battery combiner, most wiring re-done, horn
* VHF and 8' whip antenna
* fuel filter/water separator
1999 Escort single axle 5000# trailer
* good to very good condition
* new hub and bearing, right side
* new tires, fall '05
1987 Johnson 175hp outboard. Motor turns freely, but won't start.
* not a bad candidate for a rebuild - very little rust and plenty of good parts
* trim and tilt work, includes aux. switch at the stern
* no issues with cooling system
* steers and shifts freely

Looking for $2950.00

Located in western Philly suburb. I can take more pics if anyone has a request to see anything. If you have any questions, etc. post here, send me a PM, or email me at [email protected]

Ches, Good Luck with the sale. I think for what you are asking you shouldnt have a problem selling her. What did you buy?

Ches.....is the SC's motor the correct shaft length for the V20??? Why don't you swap motors and trailers and sell the SC? That should make for a fairly inexpensive repower and trailer upgrade too!

Man, you'd have one helluva package!!! Do It!

Its a tuff call. Unless you have a lot of time and engery to take on a project boat, he is doing the right thing.

The SC needs nothing or close to nothing, and for some that what they want!
I know that i like to work 0n my boat every free moment I have!! There is nothingelse I would rather be doing.

Yea Right!! ::)

Its a good thing that he has the open bow to fish from. other wise I would be saying he is nuts! The SC is smaller in size then the Wellcraft, but just as good.

Good Luck I am sure you will be happy with your choice!

His hull is a project? Looks like it's an awesome shape???

Do you mean the soft spots in the deck?

floor and motor, most would not call it a project boat, {I would not} But to some its more then they want to do.

The motor alone is anough for some to say screw it!! They cost so much to replace.

Hey if I did not live so far away and had the cash I buy it!! To replace my project in progress 75 hull!
Its been a project since the day I bought it 6 years ago and I expect it to be for the rest of the time I own it!
