willy, I'm slowly warming up to semiauto's. That one looks real nice!
Got a 7" Colt 1911 and an XD Tactical each in 45acp.
Got various wheel guns of the normal calibers except 45colt. I'm working on that problem but are going to need the Dragoon grip frame.
Really like yours spare!

Tsubaki there are a bunch of good 45's out there. For many who have been involved in the Law Enforcement and Military Duty and Training as I have there are basically three that are considered the best.
Contemporary 1911 type of guns. Of which there are several models.
The Glock 21, Gen 3 and 4, fine firearms. Carried around the world and much respected for reliability. And rightfully so.
The Sig 220, which is carried by special forces and military and police around the world. cost of the gun has caused the U.S police dept.'s to go with Glock 3 to 1.
Many do not like the quality control of the Exeter NH produced Sig's which has been problematic since around 2004 when the majority of all the parts and frames were manufactured here.
For many like myself who have been involved with Sig since the early 1980's
and for many Sig Aficionados both professionally and competitively the very epitome of quality construction, reliability, accuracy are the final design changes in the 90's and the very best of the best were those West German built in 1994 and 1995 for reasons relating to the unification of the German Nation and the incorporation of East German personnel into the mix. They were still great guns being built there but the last years of the old school German Craftsman who built what many consider the finest 45 ever made was being altered and so was there facilities.
The KF on my gun means produced and completely built of West German parts and fitting in 1995. Also the major design change was from and internal extractor like the Colt 45 to an external extractor. So basically for easier production they took a design that was absolutely flawless and went with a design that was often temperamental.

And CB hold onto that Sig you have. Take a look at the bottom of the dust slide and tell me what letters are there, I can tell you when it was made.
Those are the good ones and if you ever decide to part with it I would appreciate a call
