Stinky, I'd check compression and lower unit on that motor and if that checks out, which I think it will, I'd buy that motor...don't think it's gonna last long ;)...

I didnt say i could buy it...just asked whatcha thought. ;D

I wish I could, but not right now. ::)

I have been looking to see what I may get one for. Just kicking some ideas around. I am itchin bad to get out of this 18 by next spring. If I have to save money by fishing less this summer I am gonna try and do it. I am getting clostraphobic (sp?). 8)

What kinda milage you get out of your 93 Zebra? Ive always heard the JohnRudes are thirsty so ive kinda been set on a Yammie.

I don't know about the older/bigger ones but my 99 115 Johnson is a sipper not a slugger.

wish i had a navman, not sure how it does just that i'm glad we have 60 gall. tank. I try to run around 3,000 3500 rpm and it does better. It's got that loud 2 st. chug, I kinda like the sound though and mine blows off alot of smoke. It does get up and go. I top out around 5500 and 48.5 on my GPS. I'd like that 2001 Yamaha 200 OX66 the other guy found for $4500. Always just more cash...

Stinky, I like that motor. And, the big PLUS is that they've already broken in the skeg on it ;)

The skeg...yeah that was a big issue for me. ::)

Hey,

Maybe Skools can answer this; where's he been ???

Anyway, is it possible to take this engine, remove the tilt/trim motor and stuff and use it on a sea drive? *Would it mount properly to the sea drive? *

Or maybe Willie the sage knows the answer *;)

That's a pretty good price for that engine...

You're right, Skools can tell us for sure...we had this discussion once B4...seems like some POWER HEADS might fit, but not the whole thing... ;)...

ByGrace, the only sage I know I put on my lemon chicken. As far as I understand the system used on the sea drives is propriatery and it is a different mounting system than any thing else. I believe you cannot mount other outboards on it.

No you can not!! Unless you get another seadrive motor, it wouldn't be worth the trouble. And how good is another one going to be anyway??

Go Bracket Young Man!!

actually yes you can put that whole motor on your sea drive but would be a major pain. not worth it.
