Launched for the season at 6 am. Weather forecast completely wrong in our favor! Beautiful run down Manasquan river & out the Inlet. Bait everywhere so we snagged a few, went out to 60 ft and let em swim. My brother thinks he had one plucked off real quick but can't really be sure. I had a jig down while the baits were swimming and got hammered and broke off last year's leader.
I had to work so we called it a morning at 9 and headed in. We stopped at the Route 70 bridge where we NEVER fish but the water temp jumped from 57 to 67. My brother dropped a jig and swing and a miss... dropped it back and nailed a 19 inch fluke!
