By this time tomorrow I will be considered a felon in this state's eyes.
They are pushing this through by Ecert - emergeny certification, drafted today - vote tomorrow. No public hearing. No one can find the actual language of the bill to read ahead.
I had interviewed at Alabama shipyard 10 years ago. It may be time to dust off the resume'

How sad. These idiots honestly expect us to believe they are making a difference in gun crimes....

so how much of that 15 mil to improve security at schools do you think is going to end up in some "friends" pockets
There is so much wrong with this law - I can't even start to intelligently discuss it I am so mad and frustrated. I had spoken to each of my local politicians. They both said they would not vote for this bill. The state Senator was a man of his word and did not. Kudos to him. The State Representitive - well - let's say - politics as usual - tell the people what they want to hear and then vote party line. There were 3 opportunities to stand tall in this process. They had to vote to keep the bill as an ECERT. That passed. They had to vote to keep the bill as 1 bill or to break it into 3 bills - 1 each addressing gun control, mental health, and school safety individually. It stayed as 1 bill. And then finally the vote to pass the bill and obviously that passed.
