you see alot of those boats here in the inlets netting. Never seen one with a motor of that size.

Guess it helps to have the prop up front to prevent entanglement in the nets, huh?

plus you have a full transom like a full inboard where you can back to the net with out anything in the way of the net coming in the boat. The weight of the wet net would sink the boat if the motor were in the rear and not in the front to equalize the weight of the net. best part motor up front out of the way as you stated.

I have seen Dorys like that with small motors, like 10 to 20hp.
Also in some sail boats
