Damn that was a fat amber jack. Fished for those once on a charter out of daytona a while back. Came in and the mate ran one into a restaurant and came out ten minutes later with the tastiest fried fish nuggets i have ever had

That is a great idea to use a flyrod on the bass when they are coming to the upper water column like that. Awesome vid.

They are STUPID-THICK out there right now because of no pressure. They closed our season after a measly three months. Kinda hard to get a bait past them to anything else. June 1st will be a massacre!!!
StepUp - Thanks!! Be sure to catch some of our other videos on the Golden Isles Outdoors channel. There is some funny stuff on there and some fine fishin!!!

Agreed. I've hooked up with some real bruisers before I couldnt turn before they got in the wreck (only 100' deep). Ive had em make a 6/0 and 100# braid scream like a Zebco 404. They aint no joke.

Yep, as far as pound-for-pound fighters they gotta be in the top 3.
Your Zebco comment reminded me of when I saw a reel literally get beat to peices on one. It was a little shi**y shimano that toasted the drag washers and then it was all over with a puff a smoke. Shortly after I had the "get what ya pay fer" conversation with my buddy.....I didnt have to sell it that hard, the AJ did most of the talkin!!!!
