Greetings, I have recently been given (as in get it out of my yard) a V20 steplift with a 200 Suzuki that hasn't run in 3 years. Although it was winterized at its last sight of water.
My question is does anyone know how much this boat weighs? The reason I ask is that it's on a single axle trailer that seems to be undersized for the boat.
I'll be asking a lot more questions in the future as it also has a soft transom. Probably going to pour a new one. Thats for the spring.
Thanks for all the great information on your site.

Welcome to the site.....the V-20 is right on the border between single and double....many v's on doubles...probably the majority. Many though with singles (like mine is and has been since birth (1986)).
do a quick search and you will find a ton of posts about weight....
My guess is boat with full tank and fair amount of crap is 3500 lbs max.

not including motor or gas and gear you are at 1,920 pounds. Add 500 +/-motor, 60 gal gas x 8 =480 +/- gear?? you are 3500+
mine had a single for years then when i went new got dual. you be fine either way as kong as the trailer is in good shape.

I towed mine to a scale one day and weighed the whole thing...boat, motor, trailer, fuel and all the stuff in it for a typical fishing trip came to 4700 lbs...you should base a trailer on a little more than that and in my opinion you should shoot for 6,000 lbs...and there are plenty of single-axle trailers rated for that out there...Rob's does a great job and if I was to walk into a trailer lpace and buy new, I'd buy a single...I have a tandem now cuz I got a good deal on it...near stole it as matter of fact...
