Looks like a pristine boat! Did you convert the sailboat guy over to power on your trip?
.....for some reason I was expecting a John Wayne accent!

Looks like a nice and cozy ride for striper fishing. Interesting that the helm is on the port side. Is that standard, modification, or was that boat overseas?

Helm is dead center, I think it may be camera effect plus me sitting to the side a little.
Looks are deceiving, she is far from pristine. I got a lot of touch up, clean up and some modifications to do to get her right.
She will make a good striper boat for sure,
And it was a sweet final leg home, had 10 to 15 knot winds and it was snotty. the Bert could care less, came up at 22=24 knots all the way.
I will get better pics in the next couple of days.
Oh and you will never convert my friend, life long sailboat guy. Good friend and left his business to help me get her home today.

A name for the boat, that is what we are talking about.
I am leaning towards Laura Lyn - for my two daughters but am not sold completely yet.
If you guys got any ideas I would love to hear them

Willy she is a nice boat. Fast too. I watched your vids earlier, but then got busy getting ready for work so I could not reply. I am very surprised at the speed. You can tear some tuna up with that rig.

Thanks, she does move out, I have seen 27 knots for a short burst but she really seems to like that 22-24 knot range.

Willy,
Any idea what the fuel burn is at 22 knots?

Based on the calculations done by the previous owner and the intel I have gotten from two other Bertram 28 owners I have spoken with it should be 1 to 1.3 miles per gallon depending on load and sea's

That is pretty darn good for a deep V hull moving at that speed.
Thanks for sharing the videos.
Almost like being there!
