Well its over for this year the Thanksgiving hunt is in the books. No elk even seen today on a 5 Hr walk in a beauty of a spot. I had anther close incounter with a bull moose this time he was a small one mabie 1 1/2 year old. When he got my wind he headed for the hills. I did take a pic this time but the light was poor pretty early into my walk. I seen 3 Moose 4 muile deer does and two Whitetailbucks one was a Bruser no shot possable.

Amazing country up there. One of the things on my bucket list is to take a bull elk with my bow.

Yes it is some thing else to walk out my back door into it every day and I do know I'm a lucky man to have it. In 4-5 weeks when we got a foot of snow and -15c I will trade someone. About 6 years back Dad and I here out bow hunting we called in a MONSTER 7x7 bull I was so rattled when he just about run over me sitting at full draw by a little bush. He spooked a bit and stopped brod side in tall grass at 20 yards I released and hit him high betwen the lungs and spine. we looked for him all day and no recovery. The next morning I sent a Muzzy right through a 6x6 at 4 yards while sitting by the exact bush as the day before.
