Got a 1992 Chevy C2500 with a TBI 350. Truck sat for a couple of years being used very little, always had 1/4 tank or less of gas. I've put about 60 miles on her with new gas. Engine surges at idle and generally runs like crap till i get it up to speed, and then sometimes it will intermidently run like crap again. What do ya'll think, vacuum leak, fuel pump, some BS sensor? Has new fuel filter, full tank of fresh gas with 2 cans of seafoam.

two tests to do off the top of my head... pick up a fuel pressure gauge... I believe it has to go inline at the filter on that year and check pressure.... also check to see that pressure remains under acceleration or if it fluctuates to correspond with engine surging.

the other test is to use a timing light with a degree knob to view the spray pattern of the injectors.... you would be looking for a nice cone pattern vs a weak 'spurt'

my first thoughts on the final solution are fuel pump, injectors, and/or fuel pressure regulator.

Chances are the injectors aren't spraying very well. Fuel pressure should be 8-13, but 12-13 is better(unfortunately most TBI pumps are lucky to be able to hold 8-9). They're really a basic engine set-up without many BS sensors on it. The tPS can cause all kinds of havoc with them idling, but also be sure all your grounds are good and clean as they tend to go bad and burn up the ECM's in them.
