Seacraft.

Also more money to buy. A crappy Wellcraft is a dime a dozen. A crappy Seacraft will still demand a price comparable with a decent Wellcraft. If you find a deal on a Seacraft then jump on it.

phatdaddy i would love to have a whaler.have been looking for a 13 super sport, but there are proud of them! if you can find a good one ie no bottom paint newer 40hp dry hull. it seems like you can buy a mckee for a whole lot less like spares and his friends, but there worth alot less. its all in what you want.

i have done a couple of whalers and you have to get the hull at a good price. they are like harleys or jeep cj series, everybody wants one.

And here I thought you Wellcraft owners thought highly of the V's..............

the question was which has the most value when restored,
not which do we think is a better boat.

Most will agree the V-20 design is a good boat, but there is a cult following behind the MOSELY SEACRAFTS that the wellcraft can't touch.

I'm partial to the Sceptre model.....

Before Mosely - the original SeaCraft owner built a 21' that was reported to be very special.

A cuddy style, but huge for a 21' and overbuilt to blast across ocean seas at high speed.
Only a few hulls left from what I read......

Carl Moesley was the original designer and builder of Seacrafts, you might be thinking of Bill Potter who purchased the company from him.
