1988 150 mercury o.b wont start, I havent used to boat to much this year only took her out 2 times and it ran great, went down and changed to impellor and when i tried to start her the motor turn and tried to start but would not, sounded like it was flooded took out the plugs, they where clean wiped them off and she started after a couple of triys but it wasnt right. went down last week tried to start her and she didnt start, im going to change the water sepperator and inline fuel filter but after that i dont know what to look for, any help would be great
thats what i get for painting the bottom after 15 years and buying her a knew trailer and fixing the cleats, i should have left her alone thanks guys

Is your primer ball hard? If not your not getting enough fuel to the carbs.

you don't say how old the fuel is, so i would go buy a couple of gallons of fresh gas and try running it on that. i just take a short piece of fuel line and hook it to the supply side of the ball and drop it in the fresh gas can. i would loosen the bowl drains and pump the ball till you get good fresh gas out of them. MAKE SURE YOU ADD OIL TO THE FRESH GAS.
my dads truck sat for a bout 6-8 weeks. we tried to crank it and no go, had to tow it to the shop and get the tank removed and drained. the fuel that came out was cloudy, mech said it was phase seperation of the ethanol.

turn the key on, have some one push in the key while you hold your finger on the enrichener solenoid, you should feel it click when hte key is pushed in. Then turn the engine over with out advance the throttle, but holding the key in, if it doesn't start in the fist few, release the key
