does anyone know if i can get an oil pan gasket for my 1987 3.7 mercruiser at an auto parts store. i cant seem to find it in the marine stores without buying the entire grind gasket kit at 80.00 thanks

I can't help ya there but do know several engines are suggested by the maker to use silicone instead. Seen some transmissions do the same.

NAPA carries a lot of 470 parts, thats where I got a few things for mine...give them a try if you have one locally. Good luck.

the NAPA stuff is Sierra parts, if they don't have it, try ebasicpower.com or boats.com

Thanks guys, i was hoping to have the gasket for monday but i called around and no one had it in stock so i ordered it from Basicpower
