tach help!! again. lol!!!

somebody please help me find a decent cheap tach for my 1978 evinrude 135hp. Ones im finding in my price range on ebay are not 12 pole adjustable. heres one i want to bid on but dont know if it will work.Thankyou very much in advance for your help. It says it will work with any outboard.

Kracker...I THINK yer gonna set that one on "6" for a 12 pole...some of the experts around here hopefully will confirm that...

Yep, you set it to 6P for a 12 pole stator. You have to divide the poles in halp to get the number of pulses per revolution.

I'm telling ya! You guys are bad to the bone! Thanks fellas. how about the plug for the light in the picture can you buy that plug? It dooesnt come with one. any help to wire? guess gray would go to sending? I know Im a pain in the a$$!!! sorry guys. I will buy ya a beer one day!!

yep as stated... 6p is 6 pulse/ 12 pole. ur golden.... that tach doesn't need a plug for the light. It connects to the stud next to the bulb holder in the pic.
