The ad states:
The motor runs strong and pushes the boat about 30mph top speed. The prop is original, but I have heard from a former Yamaha mechanic, that with the right prop, the 115HP Yamaha will equal the output of the 150HP Yamaha V6.

His mechanic said that with the right prop the Yamaha 115 would be more like a 150.

Well, if the 150 is improperly propped and the 115 is properly propped, then maybe they would have similar performance ;D

I got to tell you guys I got a 99 Johnson 115 on my Armstrong bracket and it moves that boat out nice, top out at 36-38 with a enclosure up and a couple of super models along for fishing ;)
And it sips gas, so a 150 is probably the ideal motor but a 115 is no slouch and has benefits
