I have seen them do this on the mud flats but never on the shell, now I see where they get all the scrapes!

supposedly this a localized behavior to SC and Georgia, I've seen them run reds up on flats a time or two, fish end up flying everywhere. BTW, that was filmed not far from where I work sometimes

That was amazing, not only the dolphins, but that many reds in one place.

this time of year you'll find skools(just for you skools) of reds(spot tail) that number in the thousands. They will be soaking up teh heat on a flat, hardly moving, its almost impossible to get one to take a hook this time of year, you have to drift in front of them and let them swim across your bait. I've got a friend that catches them on fly this time of year, I don't know how he does it

At one time I thought it was just Trout or Mullet they would almost beach themselves for till I seen the Bass flopping around on the bank.
I am surprised it's a localized behavior. And I ain't never seen a school like that.
Good post blue!!

Cool video!
I like the part where the dolphins were showing the "kid" how to do it.
Would have been great to see live.

very cool video!
I had a similar experience hear in Jersey with dolphin eating bunker in 20 ft of water. The SkunkBoat was in the middle of an acre of bunker, live lining for stripers, when a pod of dolphin, maybe 20?, came bustin through. Bunker were flying out of the water and hitting the hull. I reeled up the lines quick! They moved on down the beach after about a minute and I put the baits out...yep....stripers right behind 'em.
