I suggest he takes a tape measure to it though as it sure looks like a 2000DC model to me. And that step down in the transom sure don't look like nay factory one I've seen. I prefer the 2000CD model myself, but they are HARD to find.

Hhhhhmmmmm, now that you mention it, it does look shorter than 22 feet...I will investigate.

But the motor looks like a 25"....would it have come with a 30" transom from the factory?

I was thinkin' the same thing...my bet is you could special order any standard height tranny you wanted 20,25 or 30" height...it may have been ordered a 30, then later cut down to accomodate the Yammer as a repower...I agree w/you, RB..looks 25ish..

I think it's the 22', the 20DC looks short and fat to me. The 2400CD is one of my dream boats, pasted on one a few years ago and always regretted it. Talk about hard to find...it's even hard to find many pictures of a 2400CD, but she is sweeeet!

As far as I know ALL of the 2000 model HYDRA-SPORTS came with a 27 1/2" tall transom which works out perfectly for a 25" shaft engine as this is a deep V hull and the engine needs to be mounted a little on the high side on them. Looks like somebody cut it down to a 25" transom which would bury the prop deep in the water and cause porposing on this hull.

Judging the angle of the anticavitation plate swing toward the bottom of the transom, looks like it would come down about right...and the motor is all the way down, so if what you describe is a problem, could it be solved by simply raising the motor??...not that it matters to me, but that's a pretty sweet rig...

I did a search and found that they did make one. I had never seen or heard of one before, so it's a new one on me.
