Me and a bud are going fishing Saturday. Will get started bright and early. Unfortunately the gulfstream is not in our sights this time....headed out of Murrell's inlet SC so the gulf is some 60 + miles off :'(
But the mac activity has been pretty good. Spanish and kings on the beach and beyond.
Wouldn't mind hittin some flatties too. We'll just have to see if we can bang out a catch of macs early then either bottom drop or hit the flatties up in the inlet and/or creeks. I haven't even checked the wind and tides yet so the game plan might not actually be in that order.
If anyone is nearby and available let me know. We can make room for ya :D
I'll report back on Monday ;)

Yeah I wish you pick some of that stuff up so you could ship me some fluke ;D I haven't caught a flattie in a LONG time!
Bass - thank you sir.
On a HORRIFYING note - when I was in Wilmington not long ago I left ALL my mac and flattie tackle at my brother in laws house. :'( :-[ >:( I nearly shed a tear when I realized it last night. 2 planos - one chocked full of various sizes and colors of clarksp o o ns and other spo ons and the other plano had all my chit for rigging carolina rigs - swivels, beads, khale hooks, jig heads among other things!! I'm so pissed off I don't know whether to stay home, punch a hole in the wall, or both.
I could drive to Wilmington this evening and go straight from there to SC. I checked mapquest:
Total Est. Time: 1 hour, 43 minutes
Total Est. Distance: 83.26 miles

Take the $80 that you would spend on gas to pick up the old stuff and go get new stuff. ;D

RB - I would but I don't know where I'd buy it?? Tackle shops down there don't have jack crap and I don't know where a bass pro shops is between here and there. Plus some of the spoons I have I ordered online and I've never seen anywhere in the stores. I just called the bro-inlaw and and he's looking around...heck he might not even be able to find it anyhow ???
I'm sooooooooooooooooo bummed out I could just cry! :'( :-[

Bass pro - they probably close at 10pm which is when I will roll into town. ::) Thanks anyway though. The walmart would be a good plan B.
Bro-in-law confirmed that its there...he's talking to his admiral about driving south for dinner this evening....save me about an hour if she agrees *:-/

Last time I ate there was the LAST time I'll eat there ;)
All you need to say about the place is this:
In every table there is a 1ft round hole in the middle. Under the hole and right next to your legs is a trash can :-X
Thanks boys for the well wishes! Preparation paid off. We ran out 15 miles and got 6 kings and the hook pulled on 2 more. Of the 6, 4 were keepers and 2 had to go back. 32" and about 11 lbs was the biggest. Pics a lil later today ;) 8)
Snake kings is some fine eatin! Right Parrot? 8) ;D
No flatties :'( to busy with the snake kings ;D
Sound like a goos trip...
In the words of one of the greats...
"I love it when a plan comes together!" ;D 8)
