I'm dreaming of an Evinrude etec 200 HO for my 96' V21.
To fuel the dream, tell me about the performance:
 1. lift to plane
 2. rpm's to cruise at 35- 40
 3. top speed
 Thanks

I wouldn't do the 200HO as that is a big block design and just a waste of torque in my opinion for a V-20. Genie ave has one on his though I believe. Personally I would think the 175 ETEC would be ideal followed by the 150 OPTIMAX.

I had a 200/225 Ficht on my V20 with a bracket and though I would hit 50mph wot. It felt like too much weight on the back of the hull.

I think you should get performance/fuel numbers from Lumberslinger on his smallblock 200 Etec before you go out and buy a BIGBLOCK HO for your 21...roughly 100 lbs difference in the two motors...IMO the smallblock 200 Etec is the way to go on these hulls...

I don't plan to get an etec, just asking about the performance, thanks
