I dont know. Something about that story ... just doesnt feel right. Would have to see the motor in person to make my mind up.

Skools...I don't think it's paint...he says he stripped all the paint off...always wondered what one would look like w/ out paint ::) ...

From this one, racer, you should RUN!!...even a good deal on the front will bite you in the end ;) ...

A tree fell on the skeg?? The prop is fine, the rest of the motor is fine?

That tree had to hit and hit HARD to snap that skeg, But not touch anything else??

I am desperate, But not that bad!!

stripped is one thing but you can't strip fiberglass and get silver lol. The lower cowlings are silver??? and fiberglass??? i think this guy is trying real hard to pull one on someone.

Nah, I think he's legit. He did say he stripped and then primed the motor. So that's where the silver came from. He does have 100% feedback rating on eBay so no real reason to doubt his story. But does that mean this is a good motor? Who knows?

one thing i'd like to know how he stripped it because it sure came out clean.

looks like he hit it with a d.a. by the sand marks. i not interested in buying this one. i just thought it was cool (if true) that thier is a 78 out there that has never been in water. and maybe someone here might be interested. that particular type of motor happens to be one of my all time favorites. based on what i have heard and the awsome reliability and brute power of my 79. i am looking for better milage and the added reliability of a newer motor. my 79 didn't exactly sip fuel.
