I recently found out that a local boat club, the Jersey Outlaws, who race old speed skiffs and garveys, also race little outboard boats. Specificly 13' Bullet Boats. I have got to get in on this. I have owned a few of these boats in the past. They are a real blast to drive. I have seen a few on Craigslist for $3000+. What I am looking for is a cheap hull that needs work so I can build it up the way I want for racing. So what I'm asking is that if anybody knows where there is one laying around, especially in NJ since they were built in Bayville, just let me know. Here are a few pics of what it looks like.

never seen one like that, most of th small race boats down here are more of an inshore type. They race duck boats around here(15ft with 90 yamahas). Looks pretty cool. I figure you already checked, but scream&fly.com will be your best bet

I just got back from Florida yesterday. I had my eyes peeled the whole ride for something good. I had an 85 johnrude on my first one and a 90 yammie on the second one. The yammie pushed it at 60mph with scary chine walking. Ichecked scream and fly but nothing as of right now. There are a few other Bullet "collectors" in my area that I need to contact to see if they have any beaters they want to give up. I'm not going to give up until I get one.

Sorry Pete, I looked for about an hour or so online last night and the only two that I saw were in NJ, one in Toms River for 3900 the other for 3500, no "projects" anywhere.

Yeah, boating isn't a sickness.
I think the little Bullets are very cool. I know a guy that knows of a guy... I'll ask.

thanks for the help guys. I found two different ones that have been sitting for a while. I will see if one can be sold to me this weekend hopefully. The guy in that scream and fly link named chris is a buddy of mine. He doesnt have any beaters for sale but he is now on the lookout for me. He does property surveying so he is all over the place in peoples yards and stuff. He told me about one sitting close by that I am now stalking. As soon as I see a car in the driveway I will find out if they want to sell it. Chris said if I get one he will race his with me. Hopefully I can get something together by next summer.

It never goes away......there was a really nice Allison Bassboat for sale here in town the other day with a BIG Merc on it......only thing that stopped me was the thought of having to live in it.
