Did anyone else just feel that, we are about 180 miles or so and the whole house just shook.

Yes, in Winston-Salem NC. Our whole 20 story building shook for 1 minute. I was on the 1st floor. As soon as I realized it wasn't my cubicle neighbor I jetted out the door! Just now got brave enough to come back inside.

I just hear from the ATT guy who was out here to get our internet back up about it...he said it was from DC to GA...I didn't feel it here...

Yep, felt it strong here in MD, which isn't surprising given the epicenter was in VA...

When I moved to MD, I thought for sure I had left my earthquake days behind in California... Guess not...

Sounds like there was minimal damage if any, thank the Good Lord.

Just got an update that the epicenter was in a twn called Mineral, VA, about 50 miles or do from Richmond, toward Lake Anna. Apparently there is a nuclear power plant in the area, no word on how it was impacted, hopefully no news is good news.

X2 I work in an industrial park and several of the buildings here had people pouring out of them.. I have two sisters that live in California, so I've felt earthquakes before while visiting them, so I knew what it was, but several of the ladies here were downright terrified. Truthfully, I'm 67 years old and that's the first earthquake I've ever felt in New Jersey. I know that there are several fault lines in NJ...the most noticable one being the Ramapo fault line not too far from where I live...but I've never felt a quake in NJ before. Hope everyone's ok. I heard that there also was a 5.8 quake in Colorado this morning...? :oh:

I was up in the hospital here in Staten Island visiting my daughter and my new grandaughter and when that quake hit, the entire hospital swayed back and forth. There was quite a panic with all the new mothers and their newborn babies, but the nurses were great and managed to calm everyone down. It was not a violent motion, but nonetheless that building really moved.

sitting on the beach in long beach, it felt like the kids were pulling on the back of my chair. when i realized the kids werent there i knew exactly what it was. just a small shake, lasted about 4 seconds. got home about 2 hours later and found out it was the ONLY news.

Felt it in Hagerstown. The people in my office, Volvo Powertrain, thought some bozo ran into the building with a test truck, everyone looking out the window, I knew right away from the descriptions my kids in Ca. gave me, feel the rumble then almost feels like a wave going under everything.
