If Lesterus got the 21 in FL, he saved about 3Gs over this one...and it was a yr newer...
I'd like to have it, but this guy's just not ready to sell yet or he wouldn't be startin' over 10 Grand... ::) ...

The built-out transom designates the 21...it's what BR's got...he's a Dawg... ;) ;D ...

According to NADA he's dreaming! http://www.nadaguides.com/Values/ValueReport.asp?UserID=cf87e857-0533-4e51-8bfb-152a10c40698&DID=39005&Type=MR&GCode=MR&wPg=1107&w Sec=4&Letter=W&Com=1803&Year=1994&Model=1600198952
I doubt a 94 Mercury is worth $6000.00? Maybe I'm wrong?

No Cruiser...you're right on the $$...he's higher than camel twat...it's a nice one, but doubt he'll get anywhere near askin' price...scroll down ''for sale''...another one just as nice for 7...that's more like it ;) ...

8) Thanks RAP (I mean I think being a dawg is good isn't it?) ;D
The hull is basically the same but there is somewhere around an 8 inch or so setback on the V-21. They made the V-21 from 91 - 96 or something like that. Don't know why they stopped! The setback gives the feel of a bracket and a skillfully placed piece of starboard gives the feel of a full transom even though its not.
In this pic, you see the set-back I'm talking about. I take the piece of starboard out when I put the seat in.

Asking prices are just that....you may be pleasantly surprised what offers people may accept....just "offer" in a very nice way without puttin down their boat.....you never know, especially if you get them to like you!

HERE'S IS LESTERUS:
I HAVEN'T GOTTEN THE V-21 YET, MADE AN OFFER FOR 5k
THEY CAME BACK WITH $5,500 BUT THAT BOAT IS NOT CLOSE TO THE CONDITION ON THAT ONE OF THE PICTURE. GONNA WAIT TWO OF THREE DAYS TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS IF THEY GO DOWN TO 5k. IT NEEDS A LOT OF COSMETIC WORK PLUS THE ENGINE LOOKS OLD.
NOW, IN THAT ADD THERE IS SOMETHING WEIRD, THEY CLAIM ONE OWNER AND THEN SAY THAT THE STORED FOR PREVIOUS OWNER, HOW'S THAT?

MY FRIEND JUST CALLED ME, HE HAS A PAIR OF 225HP
MERC OPTIMAX (2001) AND ONE 150HP MERC. (1999)
DO YOU THINK A 225 HP WILL BE OK OR TOO MUCH POWER?

I am pretty sure the v21s are rated to hold up to 200hp. Ironically, I seam to recall the v20s can have up to a 225. In addition to HP, also make sure that the weight of the engine is ok too. The v21 has scuppers that drain out of the cockpit and too much weight will bring water into it.

wieght can be a factor but, you can never have too much horsepower!
Blue_Runner
10-18-2006, 11:16 AM
Well, you can get 42 - 45 + mph outta the 150 propped right, so question is do you think thats enough? I personally would opt for the 150 over the 225 but thats just me. Low 40s is enough for me and the 150 doesn't seem that thirsty.
LESTERUS

THE MOST I WOULD LIKE TO GO IS 200 HP, I PERSONALLY WOULD LIKE 175HP BUT IT'S WHAT'S AVAILABLE EITHER 225HP 2001 OR 150HP 1999.
HOWEVER I RECALL READING COMENTS OF MEMBERS WITH 225HP V-20'S
ANYHOW, FOR ME 42MPH IS ENOUGH, OUT AT THE GOLFSTREAM YOU CAN'T GO THAT FAST ANYWAYS AND IN THE BAY, DOWN HERE, YOU WILL NOT IMPRESS ANY OF THE BIG BOYS AT 50 MPH
