My wife and I took a little trip up to Smithfield yesterday. We took her 96 year old grandmother out to eat at one of our favorite restaurants,
Captain Chuck-a-mucks in Rescue. Its where my wife grew up, and her grandmother lives at the end of the road. After packing myself with a great crabcake sandwich, I took a few pics.

Yep Lumber, me too! It was in excellent shape. This little marina is located on a creek right off of the James River. Its a really nice place, nice and quiet and the people are friendly.

No not for many years now, I lived there until I was seven then my fathers job as a marine engineer at Westinghouse went away.
He packed all eight kids and wife and moved us to NJ to another job working out of Port Elizabeth and Newark.

It took me a little while to realize that you are talking about Smithfield, VA. I live close to Smithfield, NC and didn't know where this place was. There's a reason, it's not here.

mmmmmmm, Smithfield, just thinking about it makes me want a bar-b-q sandwich, 1 dozen hush puppys, and a large sweet tea, can you swing by and pick me one up?

There's a Wilbur's in Smithfield? We always had to go to Goldsboro to get Wilbur's, sounds like a road trip is in order

Wilburs is in Goldsboro, but that's not too far from me and I prefer their BBQ and hushpuppies

I got to stop thinking about it, every time I go to Raleigh, I always bring back some, all we got down here is that nasty mustard sauce, its good for dipping your french fries in, but its a waste of good hog
