new to site with questions

I was given a 1978 v20 steplift by a guy and am wanting to fix it up. I have heard they are great boats. I am looking for info on it, any info. The data plate is unreadable. Can anyone give me a help;ing had doing some research on it.

I have a '78 V20 Outboard, this is what my capacity plate said. I reproduced it in excel and had a trophy shop make a new one. Charged me $5.00 it looks better than original.
