putting on the flywheel, is there anything I need to look out for?
I looked at the magnets they look good and attched.
It has a lock nut, but wanted to know what the tourqe is for that nut?

Unless someone has it at their fingertips, check back tonight around 7pm EDST. I'll check my books when I get home and let you know. :head:

100 ft lb. According to the book up to 1989 models. The 3.0L is 125 ft lb Not sure if the 1992 is different or not. 100 ought to do it IMO.

I just did this to my 200 Merc a couple weekends ago. Only way I could get flywheel nut off or back on tight was my impact.... How do you keep the flywheel from turning to torque?

Well I used a big screw driver in the flywheel against the block 120ftlb
started it worked great.
Does anyone know why mercury used 40amp stator? and why they used 2 20amp stators together each one to 2 different voltage regulators?
is it so if ones side dies the motor can still run?
one of my old volt reg had a wires melted pretty bad and there was a big black burn spot on the circuit board under the epoxy, but the boat still ran and charged the battery.
