Picture must have been folded in proud owners wallet so he could show off his twin 70's. If you look at the side of the barn the line continues.

You're right. I had noticed the small white borders on the right and left which made me think it had been scanned. The thing about that is, the picture was probably taken some time ago when the boat was in "better" shape :-/
