The V20, F100, and the V8 engine are high points in American industrial inventions.

But Jerry Springer is a complete as shole and is a low point in our national pride. We're sorry you had to see him.

Yep, Springer isn't exactly one of our high points over here stateside. He pretty much televised our worst for teh world to see. He is actually a quite intelligent man though, but he made the show to line his pockets. About all I know about Australia is Crocodile Dundee was about it, it is a very large and beautiful place with many sights to be seen, you guys have alot of hot women that come from down there, and AC/DC came from there and is probably argueably the best hard rock band of all time:party:. If you can't tell I am quite fascinated with Australia, and wouldn't mind going there someday.

Ahhhhh Ferm.... I'm so disappointed in you.. It's true AC/DC is a great band, no arguement there....(Thunder is one of my all time favorite songs)... but everyone knows that Pink Floyd is the greatest band of all time.

 a. ferm was quoted as saying they were maybe the best HARD ROCK band of all time. while floyd was a great band, not what one would consider hard rock. and i think we can all agree that the beatles were the best band of all time, followed by zep.

Ya, I know Charlie. I was hoping that no one would notice the "hard rock" part...LOL. LZ is good, and the Beatles were trail blazers... but PF still gets the nod from me.

Lynard Skynard. Pink Floyd is a great band as well, but by no means hard rock. It's funny since when I was younger I didn't really care for AC/DC, but now that I'm older I find myself listening to them ALOT more. Never cared for the Beatles, and honestly don't care to listen to em. And I'm a GM man myself, which I guess is Holden down your way Aussie. Heres my baby.

Me too. The base line, lyrics and drumming are phenomenal. Although Geddy Lee must have loostened the vice grips over the years, last concert I saw he wasn't hitting the high notes like the early albums. What are they like 50 now, clean as ever. Their live performances sound like the albums. Liked the Stones, Zepplin or the Beatles.
Loved the Scorpions, PFloyd, Boston, VH before Sammy, The Who, TESLA, Fixx, I like it all old, new, pop and country too. Southern Rock is my favorite sub category- Skynard,Molly Hatchet, Styx. Saw Almond Brothers open for Stevie Ray Vaughn in the late 80's at a small venue in Tampa called Curtis Hixon Hall. Either band could have headlined. The highlight was Stevie Ray Vaughn demolishing the strings on about five guitars. A roadie would pop out of nowhere and change his guitar and shoulder strap without him missing a lick.
Aussie, I ain't into speed rock but Metallica is a bad a$$ group.
Bradford, that is a good old song.

I'll give my vote for being a Rush fan....probably my first memory of really liking something musically was when I was about 12 and my friends older sister bought the 2112 album....we sat there in the living room with the blinds drawn one afternoon listening to it and it blew our minds......always been a fan....and like Ridge said in concert if you closed your eyes it sounds EXACTLY like the album.... I can also listen to most anything I would say except Jazz.....I dont care who it is that crap all sounds exactly the same to me....Went to one of those Newport Jazz festivals one time and was about ready to kill myself....

And Van Halen before Sammy Hagar was great but I saw Sammy Hagar on his I cant drive 55 tour before he joined VH and it was one of the best shows EVER.....

Is Saturday Night Special a favorite of yours? Personally, I find it distastetful how artists inflict their leftist views on us through their music. I've noticed I like Skynyrd less, the more I hear that song (and maybe I'm misunderstanding it?). Either way, they don't come close to Floyd, AC/DC, Zeppelin, or even the Beatles... and they're from my hometown.

It pisses most people off, but I don't care for the beatles and think they're over rated. Love me some Led Zeppelin, Allmand Brothers, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Grateful Dead. I'll take older Metallica and newer Iron Maiden and NONE of the new crap they call hard rock or metal. For all you Zeppelin fans check out Zepperella on Youtube, they're an all female Led Zeppelin tribute band. Pretty hot, especially the drummer who bangs the hell out of them.

As long as we are on music.. moving forward to 2010, I love the uncensored version of Cee Lo Green's " Forget you" that they play constantly on the radio....some how "forget you" just doesnt have the same ring to it.....and tying into Bradfords post the all girl band is hot....I love female bass players.
