Looking for hopefully a stainless bow rail for a 79 v20. I live on Staten Island but would be willing to travel a reasonable distance to pick it up. I do boat canvas so I would be willing to barter or just an outright sale.
Thanks!

There is a recent discussion about bow-rails...it includes one member who has a complete one in his yard...two probs...he's in the greater Boston area and your '79's rail bends down to the top of the gunwale beside the windshield in a manner unique to the '79...all others have a gradual return to the gunwale's top...the '79 takes a sharp downturn...if you are willing to relocate where the end of the rail mounts, you'll widen the number of available rails...the bartering thing will be of interest to some here as well...

Reel, 79' has the same bow rail as the other years. Your thinking of the 78', that year had the down turned rail.

I would like to find a stainless bow rail as my 79 has an aluminum rail. I believe a 78 would also have an aluminum rail.I do appreciate your help...

Find yourself an 86' rail if you can. Not only is it all SS, but its a one piece, all welded rail. (I think* it was the only year that Wellcraft used an all welded rail, not totally sure about that though.) Almost perfect fit.. just adjust the deck fittings and bolt down:beer:.

Thanks for all the advise guys... Hopefully someone has a rail they are looking to part with. Again, willing to barter for canvas work as I am in the boat canvas business or an outright sale. HELP!
Thanks
