Look in the gallery section to find the weight of a V, or do a search in the forums. What kind of 140? 2 stroke or 4 stroke...what brand? Impossible to know an answer unless we know the paramaters. :head:

The stated dry-hull (no gas) weight for a V-20 is 1920 lbs...I imagine a typical 140 HP outboard motor would be from 350 to 400 lbs....a 4-stroke 140 might be as much as 50 lbs more...
Confident on the hull weight, but motor weights are guesses...

If the purpose of you question is to gauge towing capacity of a vehicle the general estimate including trailer and full tank of gas and gear is about 4500 lbs.
Boat: 1920
Engine: 400
Full tank: 400 lbs
batteries and gear: 300
galv trailer: 1000 lbs
That totals 4020 lbs....battery and gear estimate could be light, ....4500 should definitely have you covered for towing capacity.

That's a pretty good average...I actually weighed my old '74 once...tipped the scale at 4700 lbs...galv trailer, fuel, 4 batteries, elec motor...can't recall if that was w/Rude 2-stroke or after added the Honda 4-strioke...+ - 70 lbs...
