Gotta check this baby out. The hull is so sweat looking. Show room condition. NO RESERVE !!. But what up with the pointed bow ??Didnt know V-20's had a bow pulpit moulded in like that. I love it. ;D

Starting to think that this isnt a V-20. Mulv posted a simular boat a few weeks ago that looked like a V.
That bow pulpit is throwing me for a loop here.

Trailer has some strange looking tires on it as well.

Hmmm, cant see the scuppers coming out the side like a V-20. Also it looks to have some type of exhaust vents on the rear of the stern. ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

Easy does it hammer. Sit back and have a donut. ;D
That's a V20 for sure. A pretty nice one. It's been restored at some point I would guess based on some observations.
The pulpit and bow rail were grafted from another donor boat. Didn't come from the factory with that. They mention in the add that there is some funky gelcoat on the bow. The motor has been repainted (at least the lower portion). And, yes, the tires are really too small for that trailer.
From the looks of it (looks can be deceiving though) it seems like a very nice boat that can possibly be bought for the right price and for just a few more $$, the cosmetic issues can be repaired pretty easily.

Oh, and that one doesn't have scuppers because it isn't self bailing. ;)

Thanks Chum, I was pulling out what hair I have left wondering if for sure it was a V or not. I love that bow pulpit on her. Those small tires wouldnt make it from Fl. to De. fore sure. :(

And its newer then a 77, they didn't make that dash that way till later on, my guess is it is a 87??
But they did a nice job on the pulpit! Looks real good and seprates it from all the other V0's out there.

You're right, oh wise one. It is newer than '77. It's a '78. :P The hull ID says so. ::)

9 days to goon th bidding and there is 12 bids from 8 people!!
This never stops amazing me! Why do these people start and keep fighting on the bids 9 days early??
I figure out what I want to pay, then I bid the last 5 seconds of the auction.

Its definitely a self bailer. Scuppers through the transom.

I live about 40 minutes from it. The pics look like it was at the picnic island ramp by Mcdill. But I aint gonna wax it every other weekend ;D.

Never saw floor hatches like that, I believe this boast has had several mods done, and it is self bailing in that it bails into the bildge and the pump has to get it out. Hopefully a big hard working pump. ;D

That's how my 84 is.

Ferm couldn't you convert that to a thru hull scupper design? Doesn't look much different than my 85 and mine go thru hull and out.

You mean those lead to the bilge? Never would'a thought it. :-/

macojoe

My 75 is no self bail at all!! Everything to the bilge, via the motor well, or floor boxes.

The way mine is set up, those through hulls are connect with tubes
to the well shown by the red arrow.
I have to put corks in the well, so water does not come into the boat.
There are drain holes from that well to the outside of the hull, just on either side of the motor.

You can see the through hull just to the right of the motor
on the anti foul line. There is one just like it on the left side.

Mine go out the side of the hull just about two inches above the water line

WILLY:

MY I/O 1978 IS EXACTLY LIKE THAT, THOSE TEAK HATCHES I REPLACED THEM WITH STARBOARD AND THE TEAK ONE I USED THEM FOR TWO LITTLE TABLE AT MY TERRACE. THAT BOAT LOOKS LIKE IT WAS AN I/O AT SOME POINT AND WAS CONVERTED TO OUTBOARD.

ALSO MY TRAILER HAS THOSE SMALL TIRES FROM FACTORY.

My I/O has those hatches as well. No way this was ever an I/O though.
