Cuddy Cabin Repair Followup

So I had asked about this some months back and well I dug into it with the way i thought to do it. Similar to the floor work I did last year.

Before I pull the cap on the cuddy personally I'd be looking for another hull to work with. Center or dual console. So i decided to give it a shot.
My idea is to drop in new wood and cover with the finished cap piece. Seal the seams and hit it up with light colored, possibly white durabak.

We shall see how it turns out.

good luck with your project. I have to do the same. But I was going to cut from the underside.

Excellent work, This is exactly how I would have done it. I am thinking why clean it re-attach the top skin, insert little pieces of foam to keep the thickness nice and even or level and pour it with Arjay? I personally do not like any wood in boat period. Its lighter and 15 times stronger than wood?

Hadn't thought of arjay but willbe reading into it. Probably going to use stalking type material with resin to seal the 3 small holes I made.

Will consider Arjay as it will nicely fill in all the nooks.

Be sure to download the PDF page 11 for Arjay information, its worth the drive to Sarasota for a pickup? In my rough estimate you may use no more than 5 gallons?
