I have been looking for a while....budget isn't all that much (the boat Hammer had was a bad ebay purchase for me then compounded by the seller)......Open to all comments.

I think the way she sits at most $1500. No trailer, underpowered and no doubt gonna need some work on a 33 year old boat.

Agreed....Don't need the trailer thanfully...My local guy will put her on blocks for $100 round trip and my slip is 2 blocks away. Don't need to fly, just need to get around at this point. 1,500 was where I was thinking too...

Parrot, how ya been doing. Thought you bought another boat after your old V that I have. ?. I agree, $1500 max. Unless you have a motor, if you do, BLUE is selling his V for a really cheap price. Be sure to check out my gallery, Your old V was reborn again, she running fine, as with any boat, I'm always doing something to her. ;)

Hammer, I am glad it all worked out for you in the end. You win some, you lose some. I have seen your gallery (I am always lurking around here). You did a great job.

I did end up buying another boat (actually 2). 18' Sea Ox and a 15' Whaler. Both are gone....the birth of child #2 took care of most of the boating budget. If I had my old budget I would be buying the one for 6k "old school".....If I had my choice I'd be sitting in his driveway now. For now however, I need to get something to hit the bay again and work on gradually...figured she looked good but this is the second or third run on ebay and wasn't sure if she was discussed before. At 1,500 a new block would only be another 2k or so, not terrible for a V, at least the one's I've seen.

It looks like it has a Hummingbird sonar. See if that works and come with. You may want a cover, or a bimini plus a VHF. Looks to be a solid, no frills fishing boat. $1,500 max. Check the gas tank hoses for dry rot.

I don't know?? That thing sings transom?? and its a 20" , I say the $1000 he is asking is max and not with out going to go take a look see first!

I think you can do better for $1500 IMO Don't be to quick to pull the trigger!!

Good Luck!!

I agree with MJ on the transom issue. Parrot, For the kind of waters your going to boating on, you want at least a 25" transom. I have a 79 with a 20" and I'm always watching water come over the back. I have a spashwell but its still unsettling to see water come over the back of the boat. This is one of the primary reasons I'm looking for something bigger or newer with at least a 25" transom.

You think the 20" is that bad? really???? Not having experience with one I will take your word for it.

I should have just kept the boat that Hammer has and re-did it....be in better shape financially after the last two boat fiascos (including hammers). Someone find me a decent one under 3k. Thats all i have right now. Sux being so good looking and poor...lol.

No gas-tanks in that boat...supposed to be a 20 gal ''saddle-tank'' under each gunwale, but they're gone...guess it's been runnin' from a portable tank, but you DON'T wanna do that... ::) ... kinda VOIDS the part about ''ready for the water'', ... ::) ...

The 20" transom is tough when you have 2 people fishing off the back at a drift. Anchored its not a problem.

Parrott here's one to consider...motor blown so you can replace w/ new or newer...you don't need a trailer...low-ball him for hull only

Sorry.......i mean the boat is in florida. Wouldn't savings be eaten by transport costs?

i wouldn't give $1000 for it unless he will sell a trailer with the boat at a total package around $1500 to $1800 with tandem. I gave $1725 for mine with tandem Aluminum trailer and 225 Johnson.
