I have a original equipment welded SS handrail for a 1983 20' Steplift Center Console. It is the one that wraps around the back side of the console and goes up over the windscreen. It attaches to the console with two round flanges per side and one center bolt in the back. Deleted it for a T-top on mine and it has been sitting here taking up space for 10 years.
I don't know what it is worth but I would take $20.00 plus shipping for it. I can get a picture of it for anyone who may be interested.
Thanks,
Vic

Thanks Vic!- Im not gonna try to snake it from somebody if they were first! But hey my console is 28" wide where this would mount. Looks like my original handrail had 3 mounts per side so it was a little different, but I think yours will work. My zipcode is 23072, do you have PayPal? Mike

I will measure it from flange to flange and get back to you. I am on my way to Lowe's to P/U a couple new measuring tapes. We had two die on us this week. Yes on the Paypal.

Well, I don't know if it will work. It measures:

29" Flange to Flange For the Forward Mounts (Closest to the wall in pic.)

29 5/16" Flange to Flange For the Rear Mounts.

I could see you tweaking it for 1/8" fit but not 1". Where were you measuring? I think the console tapers from bottom to top. Otherwise, factory could have changed up the console from 1978 to 1983. It is not bent much, if any, put a square on it and it is not out of square by much.

I was measuring from the top. Maybe I could cut 1/2" spacers from starboard for front and bigger ones for the rear if i needed to. My console does have about a 1/2" lip a little lower. I wish I could find a close up pic of how this mounts. I ll do a little search.....

Hahaha! DANG thats crazy!! Ive had engines shipped on a pallet across 2/3 of the country for less than $100! Was that quote UPS? their oversize charges are nuts! Hey I have had large/bulky items shipped cheap and good luck with Greyhound...I dont know if maybe that would be an option..I have a terminal near me in Williamsburg, Va

I copy that. I haven't tried Fedex but I am not holding my breath. I rarely ship to Virginia but I haven't spent much time on it, we were shorthanded at work. UPS Store wanted $75 to make a custom box. I guess they aren't participating in the Great Recession.
I will make a trip to Wally World to investigate boxes and make a few calls.

Hey no rush and dont stress it at all, if shipping is to high I'll just have to let a more southern V 20 brother try it!-----not giving up, just saying!!

Does it need a box?--maybe just bubble wrap it?

I used the online freight quote, the lowest cost of delivery was not that far off from UPS. Surprised again. Greyhound is next.

Well Draglink, I don't have the answer. I dropped the ball with the Greyhound Bus freight thing. Frank Mole(scream and Fly) was going to New York but not coming anywhere near Lakeland for the pick-up. At this point I would give it to you if we could find it a cheap way up there.
