Well if that is a rat rod then I would be happy with a rat boat.

Nice.

nice rod, I wouldn't insult it by calling it a rat, way too nice. Got a great vibe going on with it. He did a good job keeping the total theme together

Nice looking car. I am not familiar with these. What is the definition of a "rat rod?"

really anything can be rat rodded but usually they are 20's thru early 50's or known as pre 1955. I have thought of rat rodding my street rod to save money, rat rods are cheaper to build than full blow street rods as they don't have A/C and no real interior. usually the 20's and 30's are known as the rat rods and the 40's and 50's are known as Baggers or Tail Draggers.

Skools, you going to s10 chassi route? I've ben trying to come up with soemthing for my 72. The stock front suspension sucks, newer trucks aren't much better at my ride height. I thought about the mustang II set ups but I don't think they will hold up like I want it to. I was thinking 2nd gen camaro or metric full size GM, using round track parts to get the geometry right. Any ideas?

I agree, that car is way to nice and refined to call it a rat rod.

But I guess it depends on what your idea of a rat rod is......I think primer paint and no frills.....anyways, thats a well done rod.

Not enough oiled rust to be called a rat in my opinion.

I htought about going with the 73 and up chasi, knowing there is a lot more stuff for those. The 88 and up will have too wide of a track. Check out left hand chasis, howe chasis, and speedway motors. There are a lot of cool suspension pieces for the stock front snout classes. If it will hold up on a round tracker, it'll hold up on the street. Soem of that stuff is fairly reasonable.
