Hey MJ, is it just me or is the site getting steadily worse the past few weeks, it never really recovered from the previous problems at least for me.
But this week in particular it is very unresponsive. Waiting for up to a minute to change to another post or not changing at all.
My other sites are not giving me this problem so i am assuming it is us here.

I've been hitting the back button instead of the forum sites to make it a little quicker.

I dont think its been nearly as bad as it had been....a couple hiccups here and there but not so awful. I tell you though I did upgrade to the latest version of IE and that seemed to coincide with it getting better.

Listen here you free loaders!! :you::you:

I am aware of all, and I deal with all the same issues so I know whats going on here.

John knows about it as his and another are on the same server and we all have the same crap happening.

John is busy with work and building a new to him car, I am busy with crap also.

Vbulletin has a bunch of new updates (not sure if they will help) or if its the server??

But as long as we are up and running, I am trying to get thur September to get on John :bat:

So I hope you guys can hold on for a little longer!!

If not tuff sh!t :hide:

No really I will call him and see if we can get something done at least in the short term

You have such an endearing quality Wind Talker, I was moved by your response.
I can wait, don't worry about it my friend. I am only 55 so I got time. But I worry about some like Ozzie and Franco and CB.

Site is a little slow, but I think most of us are just in to much of a hurry.

How long is the delay you have been experiencing? Is it longer than a few seconds?

When are you most often noticing the delay? Is there a certain time of day or certain days of the week that are worse than others?

Does it happen when you are posting a reply or simply clicking a new link to read?

Just sometimes for me, when I click a link to a thread. Only a 5 - 6 second pause maybe. Not every time. I'd say more often than not it is pretty responsive for me. I'm on in the mornings through the afternoon. I upgraded to IE8 a couple weeks ago by the way.

I get on alot early in the am while watching the news and having coffee...its always super fast at that time. I definitely notice a lag when hitting the submit button. sometimes when changing pages. But like I said at leat for me it really hasnt been bad at all.

I find it all different times, like just now to read this I had a 8 sec wait.
I just hit the general and took 12 sec to load, a 1001 1002 count.

But hitting other threads I am counting 1 or 3 sec. Pretty intermittent

But one thing for sure it has never recovered from the big bang a few months ago

Just took 18 sec to respond to that last post and 14 sec to reload this window to this post

Right now:
6 seconds to load the thread.
1 second after hitting reply
and....

3 seconds to post and 1 second after hitting reply again. MJ are you running IE8?

That's what my wife has been telling me the problem has been being on a couple of state sites.
Changed to Explorer and they would open.

Well it is better on Explorer than Foxfire.
About what Blue described.
I was experianceing about 30 seconds to 2 minutes to read and then post with Foxfire.

I don't think the issues here have anything to do with the browsers. It's an intermittent problem.
I'm running Safari on an IMac and having the same problems as everyone else.

Not sure if anything was done, but it's much better tonight...at least for me. Hardly any delay switching from topic to topic.

It is working pretty well for me every time I visit. I am using Firefox and the delay is minimal - under 5 seconds.

Will definitely keep an eye on it for a while. Please post any problems you observe. Try to be as detailed as possible. What you were doing when you experienced the delay, time of day, day of week, that sort of thing. Maybe a pattern will emerge if we have enough info.

Could you be a bit more specific? What time this morning did you notice the problem? How long were page loads taking? Was it slow only for posts or were regular page loads taking forever?

It seems to be working fine at the moment.

I was on around 8:30 time period, ckick on a post 10 -12 seconds to come up. Respond to a post, click on it and ten to fifteen seconds before you could post it.
I has not done any better than that for me now since the issue a couple of months back.
I have three or four other sites I am on everyday and do not have this at all.
