Anyone know if the console is in the same place on a dual console? Meaning is there the same large open space from the console to the stern of the boat?
Wonder if there are any Sea Drive dual consoles out there ready for a platform conversion? Lumber's dual console has really caught my eye.

The helm I think is considerably further back than on the cuddy. Not sure as compared to a center console though. I still think there is decent room in the back but would imagine that when fishing 3 or 4 somebody would rather fish up front than having everyone in the back. Then again on a dual console somebody CAN fish in the front which I think would be sweet. Also with that shortened side windshield I think you get a little more fishable space behind the helm too.
Others have also said with the helm further back the dual console offers a better ride. I'm sure Lumber will chime in.

I have owned both, and the consoles are much further back. There is a TON of fishing space on the front of the dual, and I would say, an equal amount in the rear. Can't wait to finish getting mine rigged and use it. I'd be glad to take any shots of it you'd like to see. Craigan.

I like the room front and back, when we go the the sand bar to anchor for the day I have bean bag chairs for the front so it makes for... 4 very comfortable and gear etc etc etc
and as rob said I do like the ride ......maybe I can find a few pictures to post:booty:but I mite have to take new ones if I cant find any:you:

Wonder how it would look/work with a hardtop.

My brother has a dually, you can fish comfortably from the front but when comparing space behind the helm, the cuddy has easily a 1/3 more room. The dually does ride better because the helm is further back and there is no cuddy to weigh down the bow. I do find the dually is wetter than the cuddy.

Everytime I see that boat I need a new pair of thongs.
