one of the reasons I don't fish tournaments, no matter how big or how small, theres allways some a-hole that wants to win regardless of what it takes

How sad... I understand the desire to be first and win the money...and the boat...but you have to ask yourself if this was the first time...or has he been doing this all along. Taints every tournament he's ever been in...
And for what? Now he's banned for life from ever earning a living that way again.. so much skill...so much time...so much of his life...wasted.

I remember when I was a kid hearing about guys weighing in huge Florida bass in tournys here in NC and SC.
Criminals are everywhere.

I don't know how true it is, but I once heard of a guy that had a friend in scuba gear putting large live precaught fish on his hook so up on the surface it looked like he was actually catching them.

I've heard of guys keeping bass in pens that were caught earlier when scout fishin, so they could retrieve them out on the water while the tournament was active. They now check te bass at weigh ins to see if thier noses are beat up, indicating they were in a pen. They aought to revoke some ones fishing liscense for life in what ever state they were caught cheatin in
