Boat has no hour meter but bought with a cottage and people on the street say the boat probably has 80 to 90 hours on it, has 150hp 6cyl salt water series motor, no cracks in gelcoat excellent condition. Boat has been in lake erie since new and is still up there. $9500 firm paid 14,000 for it 2 years ago

Well, it's a nice boat from what I can see, but truthfully you're overpriced. (IMHO) Your trailer has visible rust on it in a number of places, and that's an indication that proper maintenance was not done, which leads to questions about maintenance on the motor, the boat, etc. It is, after all, a 15 year old boat.

More pictures might be helpful, but from where I sit that's a lot of money you're asking for. I wish you good luck selling it.

ooops. what i meant was how firm are you?:you::you::you::you::you::you::you::you::you:: you::you::you::you::you::you::you::you:
Boat was shrink wrap each winter and was winterized and maintained by an outfit up the road, I imagine the sitting outside has weathered the trailer. I will see abotu getting some pictures this week, motor is bright and shiny as well. I do appreciate the feedback though!

Thanks for the pics GeoJ. It is a very nice V. Looks real clean and solid from the pics. In my opinion you are high on the price. I would try to post it on ebay with the pics you sent plus some with the windows up. Set a reserve for your bottom line. I would be interested in bidding on it upto $X.
thanks, captj,
will let you know if i post on ebay, i have 2 people that are going to look at it just from posting here. haven't tried advertising yet and really hate to sell it but only can use so many boats!

Hi GeoJ,
Any performance number on that set up? WOT, approx fuel burn, WOT rpm, etc.
That is a sweet looking rig and I just found a local v21 and fell in love but yours is much cleaner.
I have not owned a Wellcraft but they look like they would work out very well for our coastal Maine waters!
Well it runs 42mph wot, the rpm and quite remember the exact number but it was below book max rpm, as for fuel i never really measured but i will tell you it is quite economical as compared to some fo the other boats i have, maybe some of the fellows on this site can comment on the fuel consumption, has plenty of power will plane quick with 7 or 8 people on it, and handles the water quite well, if you would like more pictures i have quite a few just email me at

I have the same boat and basically the same motor. Avg. burn for me is 2.5 mpg and my WOT is the same, 42, running a 14 1/4 by 17 p. prop, if my memory is correct.
Thanks, i appreciate the information and the help!

Look at Reelapeelin's signature. The boat has a wakeboard tower. I'm sure he can tell you better than anyone how to set it up.

I think it looks like a very nice boat. Question the wood plank across the transom ?
  Year engine and compression ?
Is the floor and transom solid ?
What does the boat need ?

  Thanks

I can take up close pics if oz doesn't have them, just let me know.
Well i looked around on the sight and could not seem to find the pictures of the wakeboard tower, can any one send me a picture to
[email protected] If i keep think i definatley need one of them.

For bgreene---sent you some more pics, the plywood is the mount for the trolling motor has a wired control for it up front, motor is original motor, hull and transom are solid as can be, not sure on compression i could get but i a m sure it will be good.

Here's the ski-post they're talking about...I had it on my '74 and the 21...it worked well for years for wake-boards and tubes...I liked it because it was removable when it was fishin' time...
http://www.overtons.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?i=12538&pdesc=Pro_Deck_Master_Pylon&str=ski+pylon&merchID=4005
You can barely see it in the photo below...it mounted higher in the 21 because I was able to base it on the front wall of the splashwell...mount it the higher the better...
Thanks for the picture and the link, do them things just bolt to the fiberglass, no problme cracking from all the pulling?
Thanks again!
George
Also i noticed on the web site says not reccomended for inflatables? Do you use yours for that? Is it becasue more pressure on it?
Thanks

Geo, I used mine for towing an inflatable w/no problems...and we put it thru some pretty good trials!!...I will qualify that by saying we only had a round disc shaped inflatable that really didn't produce much drag...
As far as mounting...two of the rear mounts go THRU the transom and are pretty heavy-duty...the pylon itself thru-bolts to the floor or in the case of the 21, thru-bolted to the top of the front splashwell wall...it had a 5-bolt pattern which only allowed for 4 bolts to attach, but we never had any problems...
The biggest strain we put on it was trying to get some pretty big guys outta the water who didn't know how to wakeboard...some made it, some didn't...either way, there was a LOT of pull on that thing and it never faltered...
I found some pics...this in the 21...

There is an near identical V-21 (1996, excellent condition) for sale within eBay (Brick, New Jersey) that has yet to receive any Bids. The eBay Posting has a "Buy it Now" price of $6,500. (Yet No Bids. And eBay has world-wide access). With that written - what of $5,500 for your 1995 V-21?
Kingfish

Though an older model - there is a 1973 V-20 (Very Good condition) for sale, nearby. It's been sitting for several weeks (for Sale). They are asking $2,000 or OBO. And still - no Best Offer. I think "Steplift20" is correct to suggest that $6,000 is a reach. $5,500 seems very reasonable, today.

HI everyone, hope all is well, after a deal fell through I then turned down 11k locally for the boat when i was asking 9500, i decided to keep the boat, I put about 6 hours on it this year, and she runs like a dream!
Sure have gotten alot of replies on it even still, I know a good solid v21 is hard to find. Bgreene looked at a whole lot of boats that people said were mint and he said very few were. Sold one of my other boats, now down to 4.
In the area i am in, if you could find a real nice v21 for 6k or so i would jump on it, they love them in lake erie!
Good luck all, I will keep checking back time to time as some of the post are pretty funny and make my day!

let me get this straight, you were asking $9500 & somebody offered $11000?
you turned it down.
 are you from bizarro world?
yep, im crazy lol, i had already promised it to someone at the time for the lower amount, and a fellow offered me 11k to change my mind. But it would of not been the proper thing to do. As it turned out the first deal fell through, so i decided just to keep the boat.

To "reelapeelin" - the Texan has a 150 HP OB. He likely has BIG paddles, too !
To "George" - Best Wishes with your V-21. I sense you truly cared to keep the boat from the start. Afterall - with $14,000 invested, it's tuff to let it go at market value ( $6,000 ). Though perhaps the remaining $8,000 brought a good dock at water's edge?
Thanks, definatley a bit hard to let go of it since don't really need the cash, plus the few times i do take it out, it is quite enjoyable, also been teaching the kids to boat and my father is staying at the first cottage now, so they stay away from my 31' horizon with twin 5.7L.
Cottage did come with dock, 200 feet away from it, since then bought a second cottage and at least this time did not have to buy a boat as well lol.

I can vouch for the seller of this boat - as far as I took it because I was the one planning to buy it. I was first selling my boat, but buyer's wife apparently told him NO !
Anyway, I finally sold my Mako and bought the V21 that then came up for sale right here in NJ.

The seller of this boat was real easy to deal with, and we've even stayed in touch.
So.......all I'm saying is.......I'd expect whoever may buy this rig will likely have a good experience with the seller.
