"La Cuchuca" is back in the water !!!!!! We had fun this past weekend !!!
But, still got the chipped prop and the bent prop axle from last year. I replaced the water pump impeller and the seal etc. and removing the lower unit was just plain easy. I am trying to get a complete lower unit instead of fixing the bent shaft. The motor is a 200-AET, the year is around 1995. This motor is SOOOOO reliable and so easy to work on ( carbs ) that I am reluctant to let it die or replacing it with a newer one.
I hope I can find the lower unit, if not, I will try to pull the shaft myself and have it rectified by a pro machinist. This after summer passes of course.
Boat rides still good, and did not even have to clean the carbs this time ( stopped using main tank, no more water in fuel ).
