Hi, Trying to find someone who makes trailer axles in the maryland, deleware or pennsylvania area?

Not sure of anyone that actually "makes" them, but you can get a complete axle from almost any trailer supply company. Additionally, I think I remember there is a guy on eBay that sells finished axles and offers free shipping. In all cases if you're planning on putting brakes on your trailer MAKE SURE that whatever axle you buy has the 4 hole square mounting flange on each end where the backing plate for your brakes will mount to.

Thank You, spoke to them today, but they dont have galvanized square tubing or the size I need, I have been trying to find the right size for two weeks now, the only way I see is to build it myself, Will post my results when finished,,,,

Hi bksh2, axel is 80 1/2'' brake flange to brake flange, 65'' spring centers, center of tire to center of tire 86'', 5 lug wheel 4 1/2'',,, 2'' square galvanized tube,, Thank You, buster

Hi Rockfish,

Approximately 79" from break flange to break flange
Approximately 70" from center spring to center spring
Overall dimension 93" from end of spindel to end of spindel
tube size 3" by 1 1/2" this is known as a drop axel
If you can use it, I paid $100 for everything
Its yours for the same price

Thanks bksah2, If I'm going to spend the money I think I want to get new stuff, The axles take a beating, 180 miles round trip for me to the bay and back.
