Hi All
I just purchased a V-20 without a title. The last numbers of the serial number are L990 V 20. I'm wondering if this might be a 1999 or a 1990 boat. The boat has been sitting on a lift without use for the past 10 years. It has a 2 L OMC Seadriive and an 15 HP Evinrude kicker. I'm not sure if the OMC is worth salvaging??? also I will need a trailer and suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Max...welcome to the V-20 site...I would say that's a 90 model boat from those numbers mainly because Wellcraft didn't make the V-20 in 1999...have you even put a hot battery to it to try and crank?...if not, before you do, look at the dipstick and I bet some of the real motor-heads around here can suggest other things you'll wanna do prior to cranking...any idea why it was left hangin for 10 yrs?...

Anyway, congrats on your V-20...join photobucket and post up some pics of your new boat...we'd like to see it!!...there's a "How To" section on doin that its easy...must be or I couldn't do it...

:thre: We rely on the pics to look at certain things... they tell us the year range that the boat is. For instance, if you have a cuddy hatch door that has plexiglass panels in it it's a newer hull than one that doesn't...etc etc etc. Same goes with the transom configuration and other things.

It is a 1990--the last 2 numbers of the vin are the year.

Welcome aboard.
