the fish Nazi are getting warmed up. Fisherman's march on Washington didn't have much impact, apparently. Check out the article..

And should we have expected any less from the messiah? He is all for the few and not the masses. When the fisheries went under the supervision of agencies like NMFS which are part of the department of commerce to govern commercial fisheries, what do you expect. I have personally said at a meeting for NMFS that if people are not willing to get off there couch and go get the fish themselves, then why should they have the right to go buy it in the stores? Those who are willing to do it are being punished meanwhile those who aren't are being rewarded due to a few who have good lobbyists to control DC. If you can't go down and buy whitetail deer at the local butcher, then why should you be able to go and buy wild caught fish when the stocks can't support it(or so they say)?

I posted about this a few years back, but at that time they were mostly targeting just the gulf coast. Now these idiots in DC are targeting EVERYBODY, both salt and fresh water. They won't be happy until the only people that can fish or hunt will be licensed individuals who have heavy Washington influence on them. And this isn't just a democratic issue, it is a POLITICAL issue as Bush was the one who signed the Magnusson act back into law that started all of this. This all goes back to the bickering before the election of democrat VS republican, now that they divided us and have us fighting each other they can move forward with there political agenda.

I sent FWC e-mail a while back. It took them a few weeks to reply. They are all about the politics. I pointed to the favoritism toward the commercial take (IMO) and a lack of science with respect to actual fish stocks. They simply said that Florida was aligning their regulations with the Feds. (NMFerS) They could care less what is actually going on or the financial impact of their actions.

You can read over here until you are red in the face from anger at some of the stuff going on behind the scenes. The people over there have been fighting NMFS for A LONG LONG time now.

This is what happens when good meaning Americans, and some not so good meaning, elect someone who is a died in the wool socialist and has made it very clear by his actions, his affiliations and now his appointments to his administration.
Did you notice he is not going by the Constitutional processes he is going to do it all by Executive Decree.
We are in big trouble in this country and this piece of dung has an agenda to take down our system, he is well on his way and if he gets this 2.5 trillion dollar obamination called supposedly health care reform thru he will exponentially increase the power and control of the Centralized (read socialist) government in Washington.
Who the F@@k rules by decree, I am telling you fellows who may not of seen my post months ago, If you are not watching Glenn Beck on tv (tevo it record it) you are missing in detail the info for you to decide on what exactly is being done to this nation right under our eyes.
This fishing situation is small potatoes compared to the overall agenda.

Some people have been harassed by NOAA for going fishing in areas that are dominated by species that are closed harvest. They don't fine you, but they have sure made it so that you don't want to go fishing. Top that off with $3 a gallon gas and the cost that most incur to run 50+ miles one way offshore to get to where many of the targeted species are, and it isn't worth the hassle.

NMFS= No More Fishing Season

And yes Willy, this is just the tip of the iceburg.

Here you go guys read this article to see which way we are headed.
Not only will catch and release be banned,
but we have to take a course on humane treatment of fish.

This is what is happening in Switzerland.

It is hard to stay away from politics these days. The entire board representing Florida on the FWC are appointed by the governor of Florida. Some are on their second or third term and were appointed by Jeb Bush. Others by Charlie Christ. They are not making the case for us but they are aware of the economics. That said, they appear to be following suit with the ones that want to protect the fish with a complete ban on the take. If it is done with an Executive Order, Florida does not need the FWC except for enforcement. Big government, they know best right? Both sides of the isle have lost touch with their constituents. Because we do not have years of very well funded lobyist on our side we are behind in the effort and unless something changes fast, we will never catch up.
Q. How do you like your redfish? A. Poached and blackened..

Thanks to the economy (and resulting layoffs) I've been doing the work of 3 people for over a year now, so I never have time to fish anymore. Not that I'm complaining (a lot), since I feel fortunate to have a job at all.

y'know, i think we've all wondered how fishing would improve if there was a total ban on fishing for a year or two, but i really hope this piece of sh!t focuses on his unwritten healthcare bill so he completely forgets to destroy all of our other liberties.
or, i sure do hope he drops dead in the next 27 minutes, pile of dung that he is.
