Well guys, I finally got a good start on dismantling the old '74 hull...kinda like moving from an old house...

Before I go any further, if somebody wants her the way she is, we can work a deal...if nobody wants her, I'll save the windshield, front sliding hatch-lid, seat-boxes and tank to part out...oh and the bow-rail, which is probably worthless as the center section was removed to accomodate the electric trolling motor...Keep in mind the electronics and wheel pictured aren't for sale...gonna need those on the 21....

Here are some pics of the front hatch-lid...if parted out, it'll of course include teak rails and all

Windshield has all sections and parts

Tanks and seat-boxes have worked well for past 11 years...vinyl on the boxes a little rough, but all wood is pressure treated and as solid as new...tanks are 39 gals each

The Starboard Dash (without gauges) is available too...

If you want her as is, lemme know...she's soft in spots, which is why I'm passing her on, but someone w/fiberglass skills would have a great project...I need to decide in a week or so, cause if nobody wants her whole, she'll fall to the blade of my Stihl Farmboss...

$250 gets the whole thing (no trailer), or we can make deals on parts...just depends on response I guess...

The 21 looks a little better after just one cleaning...still lots to do...

Wonder if those seat boxes will fit in mine? I think my floor hatch/compartment is wider than on yours.

Glad to see the progress, I know you are excited to get started.

Hey Reel, don't cut her up bro! Strip her down and put her on Craigslist for FREE. Someone will come along and take her off your hands. I did this last week with an old Starcraft and a Kawasaki jetski and had them both gone within hours of posting them. Neither one had a trailer either.

Hey Reel,

How bad are the soft spots would it hold up for a few years of use before a overhaul?
How fast are you looking to get it out of your yard?

Thanks

Hey ST, glad to see a fellow V20 guy here in my neck of the woods. I am on east side of Indianapolis.

Dang Reel, I hate ta see ya part it out, That boat still looks good! I wish I lived a little closer, Ive got time for another project. If you do wind up parting it out, I'd be intrested in that bowrail. Just name your price and we'll figure a way to get it shipped here. Good luck with your new (to you) boat!! Looks Great!!

ST, I have my 91 V20 cuddy and a couple "projects" if you are itching for working on boats! One is a nice 20 foot cuddy with no motor, but nice trailer (and which I got on Craigslist for free) just itchin' for an outboard on a bracket.

Nipper,

What kind of trailer is it and is there anything sitting on it? If I get Reel's Cuddy I'm trying to find a trailer just to get the boat back up here on. I have a trailer out in Maine. I'm hoping to use one to getting the cuddy up here then putting the boat on blocks, and then using the trailer in Maine.

Any help you need with the your projects just let me know I'll help any way I can.

It is a newer Shorelander single axle trailer (painted) that is in nice shape. It has, however, a free boat sitting on it, a 20' cuddy the brand of which escapes me right now. It really is a pretty nice boat, and best of all, it and the trailer were free!

The foredeck ahead of the windshield is soft and gettin softer...the floor in front of the seat boxes has been gettin soft over the last year or so...the transom doesn't bend or creak w/weight on the motor, but there is lots of wet wood in there...all the rod-holders and stuff that I'm takin off are leaving plenty of holes top side all around...the old girl's pretty rough, I don't want you to ride all the way down here expecting more than she is...the $250 I'm asking is about what I figure parting it out will bring...if you're serious, I'll hang on to it for a little while, but really gotta go soon...

ST, the 20' cuddy is not a V20, but does appear to be a pretty sound project cuddy which I could let go for a song. Let me know if you might be interested in looking at it. No bottom paint either and some pretty nice teak pieces. It was an I/O and would appear to a good bracket candidate.

OK, ST, it is a 1987 20' "Aerocraft" Mach 2 cuddy cabin. Kind of an off white color with a small burgundy gelcoat portion where the top cap would attach to the hull. It sits on a 1994 Shorelander single axle bunk trailer which does not appear to have any rust at all. I have really not been able to find anything specific on the internet regarding the Aerocraft brand, but again, it seems to be a solid hull, and I am certain that it has a good solid and dry transom. Come take a look at it if you like. I will be away this Saturday, but should be home all day Sunday. If interested, PM me and I will send you my phone number.

P.S. I will not, I repeat not, uncover my 1990 V20 for you to take a look at. You seem to have the V fever, and who knows what might happen!
